We're halfway through Summer and the bangers keep on coming. Alice Francis makes a big leap from 22 to 10 with, "Shake (Atom Smith Remix)." It's the second Top 10 this year for the group. They reached number 2 back in March with ,"Too Damn Hot (Phos Toni Remix)."
Electric Swing Circus step up a spot to 9 with "Kicking Up Dirt (Jamie Berry Remix)."
The death of Sinead O'Connor sends her songs and albums skyrocketing onto multiple music charts including ours. "I Want To Be Loved By You," comes in at 35 and, "Why Don't You Do Right," lands at number 19. Both are from her Am I Not Your Girl album. And from the classic Cole Porter tribute album Red Hot & Blue, Sinead's, "You Do Something To Me," flies in at number 8. It's this week's Top Swinging Entry.
Dutty Moonshine Big Band and MC Pean are at number 7 with, "Skank Out." They slip a spot this week.
Swing'it make a giant leap into the Top 10. They jump a whopping twenty-four places to land at 6 with, "The Mayor Of Storyville (Electro Swing Spin)."
Club hit, "Tell Me," by Laurens S and LVDS stays at number 5 for a second week. And equally club friendly, "Hello Stranger," by Riff Kitten steps up five spots to stop at 4.
Odd Chap teams with Elle & The Pocket Belles for a feel good Summer hit appropriately titled, "Feel Good." It jumps from 11 to 3.
Mathew V's, "Anything Goes (Wolfgang Lohr Remix)," remains at number 2 for a second week.
The Swing Bot and Little Violet hold on tight to Number 1 for a second weekwith, "Busy Doing Nothing."
Also worth mentioning in the iSwing Top 50 this week are Balduin and Swing Ninjas reimagining, "King Of The Swingers," at number 42. R/K Theory cleverly remake Caro Emerald's hit, "Liquid Lunch," at 48. Crooner Matt Dusk experiments with autotune on new hit, "Pedestal," at 29. And Wolfgang Lohr teams with Free Shots for a hot Summer remake of, "Volare," at 17.
Over on the album chart, Jamie Berry's Antiquity EP sits at 5. The Swing Bot's, Art Disco slips to 4. Sinead O'Connor flies in at 3 with Am I Not Your Girl. Wolfgang Lohr's, Electro Swing (Radio Edits), climbs to 2. And Postmodern Jukebox's, The Fourth Tuning is at Number 1 for a seventh week.
