Juda-Bug - Here We Go Again (Single Review)

Juda-Bug burst on the scene a couple of years ago with their debut EP, Electro Is The New Swing. The EP featured solid bangers like, "Move Those Legs," and "Get Up (With The Get Down)." The very hypnotic, "Bumbum Bum" is now an Electro Swing classic.
Back up a couple years, and with a fresh new sound, Juda-Bug are back. And they've pleasantly gone all kinds of Swing/House. Their latest single, "Here We Go Again," is a banger DJ's shouldn't ignore. Dancers will obviously flock. Electro Swingers will be mesmerized.
"Here We Go Again," begins with a smooth House beat containing a subtle spicy samba flair, then the bubbly bass and sexy horns slither in. And bam! You're sucked into the vortex of Juda-Bug's, "Here We Go Again."
Juda-Bug have created a real dance classic here. "Here We Go Again," is laced with a very flavourful mix of whimsical sounds designed to keep your feet moving and your ears happy.
The sampling of the title lyrics throughout doesn't feel overused and mindless. The sample teases a clever verse, but verses aren't necessary here. Not with this kind of Swing/House.
Juda-bug is da bug that makes u swing, and their latest, "Here We Go Again," is ammunition for a good time, so load up on this one folks.
"Here We Go Again," is the second single, following last year's, "Bab Kebab," to be released from their tentatively titled album, The Bug Is Out, due this Summer.
In the meantime...

...don't forget to check out Juda-Bug's EP Electro Is The New Swing.

Also arriving with her first iSwing Top 40 is Anet, with "Candyland," at 35.
Dance music legend Fedde Le Grand teamed up with singer. Josh Cumbee, and they score a hit called, "Dancing Shoes." It's new at position 26.

Jami2 comes in at 22 with, "Undo." This is a fun track that sounds like The Pussycat Dolls dabbled in Electro Swing. It's a real bopper.
A Big Swinging Shoutout goes to...
...Swingamajig.
Swingamajig returns for its eighth edition this May. It's a fascinating festival that celebrates all things vintage. Located in the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in the United Kingdom, Swingamajig is a day of absolute fascination and wonder. Surely an event not to be missed. Swingamajig takes place May 8, 2020.
And Top Swinging Entry belongs to Swingamajig headliners, Oh My God It's The Church. They bring the ultra funky, "Where Did You Get Those (Shoes)(Duke Skellington Remix)" to number 21.
As for top tier action, SwingHoppers score a second Top 10, at 10, with, "S Gon Give It To Ya." It follows their highly successful, "Party Like It's 1920," with Wolfgang Lohr, which slips to number 8.
Madam Misfit falls to number 9 with her take of, "Inspector Gadget."

And Varrick Frost fans, you'll be glad to know he released new Swing/House banger, "Luci's Game," this week.
Wolfgang Lohr and Loredana Grimaudo spent three weeks on top with, "Twenties." Sadly it drops to number 3 this week.
Cut Capers make a five spot jump with, "Let's Start Again (Odd Chap Electro Swing Remix)," to land in runner-up position.
And the newest Number 1 is, "Melancolia," by Caravan Palace. This is now the fourth song to reach Number 1 from Caravan Palace's album, Chronologic. "Plume" had a four week run on top in August and September. And "About You," featuring Charles X, hit in July. "Miracle," was the first landing on top last March.
"Melancolia," is Caravan Palace's tenth Number 1.
That's it for iSwing Top 40 this week. Check back next week to see if Caravan Palace hangs on to Number 1, or will Odd Chap's remix of "Let's Start Again" take top honours?

Hello lads and ladies, thanks for returning to the blog I'm your host, JC JSum.
Five new entries this week from some pretty big names in the Electro Swing scene.
Returning to the chart with their eighth Top 40 hit are The Puppini Sisters with Whitney Houston's famous tune, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." It arrives at 38 and features The Pasadena Roof Orchestra. Hopefully we see a really good remix, or two, of this one in the coming months.
Yabloko Moloko's latest, "Gangsta's Business" slides in at 32.
Little Violet teams with Jamie Berry, and scores a third hit from her latest EP Silent Movie. "Limits (Jamie Berry Remix)" debuts at number 26. "Swinging Melodies" went to number 3 last October, and title track, "Silent Movie," reached number 11 last month.
The recent Oscars Awards Show perfermance of Eminem's, "Lose Yourself," sent the nearly twenty year old song onto the charts again everywhere, and ours is no exception. Eminem and Electric Swing Circus come in at 21 with, "Lose Yourself To The Bella Belle (James Jive Mashup)."
Janelle Monae may get an iSwing Top 40 out of the airing of the awards as well. Her swinging opening performance of "Come Alive," is trending and may just land her name on our little chart in the coming weeks.
Making a giant leap from 32 to 11, are Lamuzgueule with "Bad Romance." And they slip 3 to 10 with, "Umbrella," featuring Chanson D'Occasion.
Top Swinging Entry belongs to Dutty Moonshine Big Band featuring Hypeman Sage. Their latest banger, "Big Band Fam," comes in hard at number 9. Dutty last visited the Top 10 in July of 2018 when, "Gangsters (Featurecast Remix)," reached number 7. Hypeman Sage hasn't been around since his guest appearance on DJ Pony and Dr Cat's, Number 1, "Can The Frog Tap Dance (Big Swing Sound System Rework)," way back in September of 2016.
Ariana Savalas lifts from 12 to 8 with the now legendary, "Legendary Lover."
Cut Capers move a couple of spots up to 7 with the very energetic "Let's Start Again (Odd Chap Electro Swing Remix)."
A Big Swinging Shoutout goes to...

...the collaboration of MelleeFresh and SpekrFreks. They joined forces, and the fierce was with them. Wow! Their new songs are pretty kick ass. "Bee's Knees," is killing it. "Murder," is murdering the dance floor. Instant Electro Swing classics. You might say their collaboration is, the bee's knees.
"Murder (Extended Mix)" jumps to number 6 this week.
Madam Misfit reaches a new high at 5 with, "Inspector Gadget."
Minimatic's, "The Whistler" creeps up to number 4 from 7.
The SwingHoppers and Wolfgang Lohr jump a spot to 3 with, "Party Like It's 1920."
Caravan Palace rebound up to 2, from 8, with "Melancolia."
And super duo, Wolfgang Lohr and Loredana Grimaudo hang on tight to Number 1 for a third straight week with, "Twenties.".
The last title to spend three weeks on top was Tape Five's, "Party Like It's 1929," at the beginning of the year.
Another interesting fact this week, and a rarity, is with Wolfgang Lohr. He not only tops the chart, he bottoms the chart. He and Alanna Lyes have, "Upside Down (Pisk Remix)" starting the countdown off at number 40. Starting us up and finishing us off.
That's it for iSwing Top 40 action. Check back next week to find out if "Twenties" hangs on to Number 1 for a fourth week? Or will Caravan Palace, Melleefresh or SpekrFreks bolt to the top?
Until then, keep your head in the clouds and keep swinging for the stars.

Before we get to the Top 10, a Big Swinging Shoutout goes to...

...Dutty Moonshine Big Band.

Welcome back to the blog.
Five new entries, a new month and a new Number 1. So let's get started.
Tape Five score another Top 40 from their incredible album, The Roaring 2020's. "Lady Moustache," comes in at 38.
Michael Buble gets a very club friendly working of his very popular, "Everything." The, "Everything (Benny Davids Remix)" arrives at 34. And speaking of another popular tune getting a club friendly working, Frank Sinatra's, "New York New York (Giovi Tribute Mix)," lands at position 32. Frank last visited back in November when he was featured on ProleteR's track, "That's Life."
Tia Brazda's new hit, "Brand New Day (Radio Mix)" comes in strong at 26. This is a lot less Jazzy or Swingy than usual, but radio should gobble it up. Tia's last appearance was. last June when "Un Amore Boheme," topped out at number 13.
Top Swinging Debut arrives at number 13 and it's a banger. "Let's Start Again (Odd Chap Electro Swing Remix)," by Cut Capers flies in. "Let's Start," is their highest debut to date. They reached number 5 last December with, "Say What (Pisk Remix).
Odd Chap, of course, is no stranger to the Top 40. Seven Top 40's last year alone. He also produced Madam Misfit's current climber, "Inspector Gadget," which makes a big leap from 23 to 11.
Before we get to the Top 10, a Big Swinging Shoutout goes to...

...Anet's Candyland album. If you're in need of fresh and fun for the changing season, Candyland should fit nicely into your collection. Foot stompers like, "Music," and "Love Or Die" are standouts. And title track, "Candyland," belongs on every Electro Swing playlist.
Glenn Gatsby scores a second Top 10 with, "I Wonder Where." It jumps eleven spots to start off the top 10. "The Great News," his first Top 10 reached number 6 last May.
Scoring a first Top 10 is Riff Kitten with, "Swag Rag." This is one of those parasitic songs that grows on you. It's actually been jumping around the Top 40 for more than two months now and reaches a new peak at 9.
And landing a second Top 10 from the Bric-A-Brac EP is Minimatic. "The Whistler" makes a 22 to 8 leap. Minimatic's total Top 10 count is five. Including the massive hit from the Spring of 2017 by Bill Haley & His Comets, "13 Women (Minimatic Remix)," which reached number 1.
Pisk is still gaining momentum but still slips to 7 from 6 with, "Hummin' To Myself."
Lamuzgueule and Chanson D'Occasion jump three spots to 6 with, "Umbrella." And SwingHoppers with Wolfgang Lohr also climb three spots with , "Party Like It's 1920." It reaches a new peak at 5.
Taking a big step from 11 to 4 are Caravan Palace. "Melancolia" is Caravan's 23rd Top 10.
Emma Clair's, "Need To Swing," stays at 3 for a second week.
The Brass Department, Marena Whitcher and Rootwords, fall to 2 with, "Welcome To The Brass Department (Klischee Remix)"
And the latest Number 1 belongs to Wolfgang Lohr and Loredana Grimaudo. They bring the very popular, "Twenties" to the top in only its third week. It jumps 4 to 1. Wolfgang's last visit on top was back in June when, "Very Nice People" with DJ Mibor and Offbeat held the throne for two weeks. "Twenties," brings Wolfgang's total Number 1's to 14.
For Loredana, this is her first. She came close last October when she was featured on Ursula 1000's, "Swing Boom Bop," which peaked at number 2. If we count her Number 1's with Swingrowers, her band, this would be her sixth visit. Swingrowers last topped up in July when, "Dreamland (Say Goodbye Bye Bye)" took over.
Swingrowers also recently announced a new album coming later this year, so expect your 2020's to be roaring.
Check back next week to find out if "Twenties" hangs on tight to Number 1 or will Emma Clair snatch the throne with "Need To Swing?"
Until then, keep your head in the clouds and keep swinging for the stars.
