When I started this Top 20 album chart a few months back, I didn't expect a lot of albums. I wanted to be in the know about Electro Swing albums, so what better way than to track and chart them. Electro Swingers are notorious for dropping singles without an album, so my expectation was low on quantity of albums. As I troll the various charts, playlists, accounts and trends every week, I can clearly and positively predict this chart will grow to a Top 40 or 50 by the end of the year, if not by the end of the summer. It's already grown from 20 to 25.
The second volume of Electro Swing Party By Bart&Baker enters the album chart at number 10. Volume 3 is at 21, and volume 4 is at number 2.
Touring season is here and it will always affect the album chart. Caravan Palace just finished their US tour and four of their albums are in the Top 25. Three in the Top 10. And High Step Society are about to launch their US tour. Their High Step Society Remixes EP enters in at 25.
And Swing'It debut at Number 1 with their 1920s New Orleans inspired, The Story Of Storyville.
