Welcome back swing fans. Tia Brazda scored her second #1 last week with, "Cabin Fever (Lockdown Remix)." Will her lockdown hit stay on top for Valentines week? Keep reading.
Starting off the Top 10 this week are Deladap and Melinda Stoika with, "Tiktak." It jumps twenty-five spots to land at number 10.
Also new in the Top 10 is, "Mr. Sherlock," by LVDS and Iolanda Boban." The catchy tune about the famous detective is their second hit together. "Steps On The Moon," reached the Top 10 last August.
Bart&Baker and Nicolle Rochelle stay at 8 for a second week with, "Hey You (I Heard You Wanna Party)(Wolfgang Lohr Remix)."
Last of the three new Top 10 entries belongs to DJ Mibor and Alanna Lyes. They move from 12 to 7 with the very disco flavoured, "Hideaway."
Top Swinging Entry of the entire Top 50 this week goes to Parov Stelar with the Blues inspired, "Come Back Home," down at 36.
This week's Big Swinging Shoutout goes to...
Speakeasy Streets. Dropping their album, Back Alley Beats, last month, Speakeasy Streets are bringing the multicultural sounds off the streets to our eager locked down listening ears. Flip flopping from old style Speakeasy Jazz, to Gypsy, to Balkan, to Gansta Rap in the middle of a song seems like it wouldn't work, but it does, and fabulously. Speakeasy Streets are a band to watch out for in 2021.
Their energetic single, "Speakeasy Song," debuts down at number 45.
Back in the Top 10, Madam Misfit slips a spot to number 5 with, "Feels A Little Strange." And trading places with her is Caro Emerald. She moves into spot number 4 with banger, "You Don't Love Me (Pisk Remix)."
Mista Trick, Riff Kitten and Harriet Hayes stay at number 3 with, "Feelin' It."
Tia Brazda slips to the runner-up spot with, "Cabin Fever (Lockdown Remix)."
And the big surprise of the week. Swingrowers blast up to Number 1, from 6, giving lovers everywhere a "Rose" for Valentines Day.
It's a rarity when a song this high up on the chart jumps to number 1. The last act to do so was last April. Mr Jazzek and Felipe Cespedes jumped from number 8 to 1 with, "Funiculi Funicula." And before that was during Halloween week of 2019 when Emma Clair creeped her way to the top with, "Thriller Hands," from number 8 as well.
With the rise of, "Rose," this becomes Swingrowers ninth chart topper and they've now had at least one number 1 for five straight years.
